Collection: Lauryn Welch

Lauryn (Red) Welch is a Brooklyn based artist and a longtime resident of the New Hampshire Monadnock Region. They received an MFA in Studio Art from Hunter College in 2023. Through painting and film, they explore the language of care and the experiences of illness and wellness through the construction of home. Their work is influenced by locally accessible nature and ornithology. Lauryn has worked as the gallery manager at the New Hampshire Institute of Art Sharon Arts Gallery and has traveled internationally as a teaching artist for Art Prof, a free online education platform for the visual arts. Their work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, recently including a solo show at Half Gallery and a film acquisition by PBS.
